General Info

Tucked away on Vico Storto C. Marilli in Isernia, the atmosphere at Cosi’Va Squisito feels welcoming the moment you arrive. It’s the kind of restaurant where the experience is relaxed and unpretentious, yet every detail-from the menu to the service-shows genuine care. Sitting here, especially if you choose the outdoor seating, you quickly understand why locals and visitors leave such positive reviews.

One of the first things that stands out is how approachable the menu feels. It doesn’t try to overwhelm you with endless choices. Instead, it focuses on dishes that highlight simple ingredients and balanced flavors. The Pizza Margherita is a perfect example. When it arrives at the table, the aroma alone tells you it’s going to be good. The classic combination of tomato, mozzarella, and basil comes together in a way that feels comforting and authentic.

Another standout on the menu is the Pizza Ai Due Pomodori. This pizza offers a slightly different twist, bringing together two types of tomatoes that create a richer, deeper flavor. Each bite feels layered but still light enough to enjoy slowly. If you’re the kind of diner who enjoys noticing the small details in food, this dish is definitely worth ordering.

The restaurant also stands out for its thoughtful services. Outdoor seating is a favorite among guests, especially during warm evenings when the street feels calm and lively at the same time. It’s easy to sit back, enjoy your meal, and watch the rhythm of the neighborhood unfold.

Inside, the vibe is just as comfortable. The staff keeps things friendly and relaxed, and you never feel rushed. If you enjoy pairing food with drinks, the availability of hard liquor adds another option to complement your meal. For those arriving later in the evening, the late-night food service is a big plus, making it a reliable spot when many other kitchens have already closed.

Another detail that many diners appreciate is the restaurant’s openness to different lifestyles. The menu includes organic dishes, offering lighter and more natural choices for those who prefer them. And if you’re traveling with your pet, you’ll be happy to know that dogs are allowed inside, which makes the experience feel even more welcoming.

Overall, the location, menu, and relaxed setting come together naturally here. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual dinner, enjoying pizza outdoors, or reading through glowing reviews before choosing where to eat in Isernia, the experience at Cosi’Va Squisito feels genuine and memorable.

What customers say?

“ Beautiful restaurant/pizzeria in the historic center of Isernia. A very welcoming place with beautiful stone arches and a large outdoor terrace for summer evenings. The pizza is very good, well-prepared with quality ingredients. The burger is good but not very juicy; it could be better. The service was friendly, although the food didn't arrive at our table together, and there was a problem with the cocktails we ordered. We'll be back. ”

“ A truly central location, parallel to the main road that connects the square to the historic center. Located in an alley. I ordered a buffalo mozzarella, really good! Cooked to perfection I also like the decor, with the contrast between green and yellow. The bricks protruding from the walls are a plus I particularly appreciate. The plants in the gutters are very cute. The staff are very friendly and quick. The outdoor seating is very nice; I had the chance to see it in the summer. I will definitely be back. Prices are reasonable. ”

“ Located in a narrow alley in Isernia's historic center, this restaurant boasts a terrace offering panoramic views. Excellent pizzas with original flavors. Fast service. ”

- Carmine Ricco -

“ Nice, quaint place. We had pizza, which was really good! Good service. Prices...a little high...but the quality is there. I'll definitely be back. ”

- Davide Iaccarino -

“ The restaurant is located in the center of Isernia and offers a terrace with a great view and fresh air. The service is excellent, with attentive and friendly waiters. The ingredients are top-quality: we tried an appetizer for two with local delicacies like prosciutto, burrata, pecorino, and more, all truly delicious, plus a very good warm focaccia included with the appetizer. A good selection of pizzas, some very unique, I must say. The dough is very good, and the pizzas are also made with top-quality ingredients. We didn't order wine or dessert, so I can't comment on that. I find the prices fair, as a Margherita costs €5. It's obvious that elaborate pizzas are more expensive, but still within the norm. Finally, I disagree with those who say they had issues with the portions; to be honest, we left feeling more than full, so much so that I reluctantly had to leave a few items behind. The bill for two was €53, including beers and a cover charge. ”

“ A very charming restaurant located in the center of Isernia; the staff is helpful and the setting is charming. I've rarely eaten so well: the appetizers, first courses, and second courses are all delicious, not to mention the wine and desserts. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the dishes; I highly recommend it for an unforgettable culinary experience. ”

“ Yesterday I ordered two takeout pizzas. Both were very good. This confirms my parents' very positive impression. They also had the opportunity to speak with the owner on a previous occasion when they ordered a takeout pizza. We will definitely be back to eat at this lovely restaurant in the future. ”

“ A small restaurant located in the historic center of Isernia, nestled in one of the town's characteristic alleys. We visited for pizza. Pizza****: Neapolitan-style pizza with excellent ingredients and a good variety. Tasty. Good value for money. Service****: Service with a few minor lapses in timing, but overall helpful and friendly. Location*****: Terrace location, with a limited view, but very well-decorated and ornate, creating an interesting atmosphere. A pleasant evening, reasonably priced. We parked near the Cathedral, and the walk to the restaurant in the hot summer was pleasant and relaxing. Parking could be a problem in winter. ”
